What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is 3:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am. The front desk (registration office) is staffed 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. If you arrive after hours, go to the registration office and look for the lockbox with your check-in instructions, then contact the property during office hours with any questions.
Where exactly is Kiahuna 22, and how do I find Building 5?
Kiahuna Plantation is at 2253-B Po’ipu Road, East Entrance, Koloa, Hawai’i 96756. Bypass the first (west) entrance off Po’ipu Road and turn into the second (east) entrance; at the stop sign turn right, then a quick left, and the reception center will be on your right. Kiahuna 22 is a top-floor, prime-view condo in Building 5, in the resort’s Phase One section, close to the beach path.
How far is Kiahuna Plantation from the airport?
Lihu’e Airport (LIH) is about 14.2 miles from the resort, roughly 30-40 minutes by car. Rideshare, taxi, rental car, or an airport shuttle service are all options.
Is there a pool, and what other resort amenities can I use?
Yes — guests of Kiahuna 22 have complimentary access to the Po’ipu Beach Athletic Club, which includes a resort-style pool with waterslide, a hot tub/spa, a fitness center, and tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts. The resort grounds also include 14 barbecue areas, a beach activity center with free beach towels and chairs, and the historic tropical gardens.
Is there air conditioning in the unit?
Kiahuna Plantation was originally designed to rely on trade-wind cooling and ceiling fans rather than central air conditioning; some condos have had portable or split A/C systems added, especially in recently renovated units. Please contact us directly to confirm the current A/C setup in Kiahuna 22.
Is WiFi/internet included?
Yes — free high-speed wired and wireless internet access is provided throughout the resort and in-unit.
Is there a cleaning fee or other extra charges?
Yes. Castle Resorts assesses a cleaning fee at the property at check-in, charged per stay, per condo unit, plus tax. Laundry facilities are available on-site for a fee. We’ll confirm the current cleaning fee amount when we confirm your reservation.
What’s the housekeeping/maid service policy?
All rates include two full maid services per 7-day rental period. For stays of 6 nights or more, guests also receive free daily towel and trash service plus bed-making, with a full maid service every 4th day. Additional cleaning can be arranged for a fee.
Is parking free?
Yes, free parking is available on-site, with spaces located near each building, including next to Kiahuna 22 in Building 5.
How close is Kiahuna 22 to the beach, and what’s the view like?
Kiahuna 22 is a top-floor, prime-view 1-bedroom condo about 50 steps from the swimming beach, with an unobstructed panoramic ocean view and sunset view from the private lanai. The resort’s own swimming beach fronts Kiahuna Plantation directly and sits just steps from Po’ipu Beach itself, once named “America’s Best Beach” by the Travel Channel.
Are pets allowed?
No — pets are not allowed in guest rooms or the resort area, with the exception of service animals.
What’s nearby for dining, shopping, and activities?
Po’ipu Shopping Village is a short walk away with restaurants and shops. Koloa Town is about 2.7 miles away for ice cream, brunch, and a historic walking tour. Nearby attractions include Spouting Horn and the National Tropical Botanical Gardens at McBryde and Allerton, plus championship golf courses and, for a day trip, Waimea Canyon State Park about 29.5 miles away.
